Back to School: Emergence Snack

So in my middle school(Yes i'm in the eight grade and graduating this year) we are not supposed to have class parties or have birthday celebrations, but dose everyone follow the rules? No!I found that classmates and teachers bring in cupcakes or doughnut holes for birthdays or holidays. So it happens that sometimes the unexpected happens, and  for older children and teens it is sometime hard to pass up a ''double chocolate cupcake'' but if you don't we will get sick as any celiac or gluten intolerant would. And for younger kids it is even harder. So you or your child are not in this situation I have my emergence snack pack.

What my snack pack includes is shelf stable gluten free(or your allergens) snacks. These include-

  • Dried or Freeze Dried Fruit such as cranberries or blueberries
  • Nuts(check with your class or school) suck as almonds or pistachios
  • Dry Cereal in a plastic bag
My favorite type or bag for this is the Allermate snack bag(picture above Allermates ), but you can use any bag you like like a make-up bag or a little pencil pouch. Its cute and perfect for the snack pack! For older kids and teens with lockers it works out perfect to hide the snack from ''snack sealers.''For younger children it is perfect for book bags or to keep in their teacher's desk! Just don't forget to exchange the snack pack once every three months to make sure you have a fresh snack!
